Ideal for installation in maritime or other major weather environments, the QUALCOMM GSP-2900-LP fixed satellite phone offers mounting the sensitive components for satellite phones in a protected area while mounting the antenna outside (with a clear line of sight to the satellites). This enables operation in temperatures between -40F to 185F. The GSP-2900-LP uses the same low-profile "teacup" antenna which comes with a Globalstar Vehicle Kit. The low-profile antenna gives more installation options and a cleaner look than the stick antenna. Cabling from the antenna to the phone unit is available in 20, 30 and 55-foot lengths.
