GlobalCom now offers the Star Lease Program
Why buy technology when you can lease it. Now GlobalCom partnered with Globalstar offers the Star Lease Program. Many decision makers in the corporate world believe it is better to lease technology such as computers and communication equipment than use capital expense money to purchase the equipment. Satellite phone technology which could be obsolete in three years can now be leased instead of purchased.Some of the benefits of leasing for a business include no capital expense dollars are used which can be hard to come by if the current years budget for capital expense has been used up. There are no assets to depreciate. The business can totally write off the service expenses. There would be better budgets planning. All the equipment needed for the project can be obtained immediately.
Under the Star Lease Program all products leased must be associated with active service. This service fee and the lease fee are included on one statement directly from Globalstar. Every Globalstar product can be lease which includes accessories such as batteries, data kits, and car kits. There are unit minimums required when leasing the Globalstar phone equipment. The minimums includes twenty-five phones which can be a mix of GSP-1600 hand held phone, SAT-550 hand held phone, or the FAU-200 Fixed site phone. The customer can also lease the GSP-2900 Fixed satellite phone which has a minimum of ten units that can be leased.
The GSP-1600 can be leased for $26.00 a month, the FAU-200 can be leased for $22.00 a month and the GSP-2900 can be leased for $87.00 a month. At the end of the standard thirty-six month lease the customer has a number of options which include: purchasing the equipment at fair market value, leasing new technology, continuing the lease on a month-to-month bases or simply return the equipment. Lease terms of twelve or twenty four months also are available at the customer request.
In most cases the equipment would be directly shipped from Globalstar to the customer active with service. GlobalCom is exited to offer this lease program to their customers. This program will allow the customer to lease a larger number of units when required and give them all the benefit of leasing technology instead of purchasing technology.
