New Iridium 9505 Phones will not available until Dec.
NEW IRIDIUM 9505 PHONES COMPLETELY OUT OF STOCK UNTIL DECEMBER 2004As of September 13, 2004 there are no more Iridium handsets available directly from Iridium to GlobalCom. Due to the overwhelming success and volume of Iridium sales and the miscalculation by Iridium of demand before they started manufacture of the new handset, we will be unable to fulfill any orders until the first batch of Iridium 9505A units come off the assembly line sometime in December 2004.
The new handset will have virtually all the same look and feel as the previous 9505 model except will have a unique new set of accessories and connectors. More on this will be delivered as it becomes available. GlobalCom is taking advance orders of the 9505A units (with no financial commitment) so you may guarantee yourself units when they come out.
Refurbished 9500 and 9505 unit will be available in limited supply.
