Check out the new iridium 9555 satellite phone at GlobalCom. This is the smallest and lightest of the Iridium satellite phone handsets. This phone is less bulky due to the fact that the antenna stows inside the phone, rather than on the outside. It also has speaker phone capability and does not require a separate data kit in order to act as a data modem for internet connectivity.

Iridium 9505A Satellite Phone

The Iridium model 9505A is the most recent of the Iridium models that has gone out of production. It is considered on of the most rugged of the Iridium phones. The 9505A is about the same height as the newer 9555 model when the antenna stub on the 9555 is considered. However, the externally stowed antenna on the 9505A makes it thicker. Globalcom sells Demo models of this phone at a reduced price.

Iridium To Go Kit

Both the Iridium 9505A and 9555 models are available in a travel kit that consists of the phone and accessories stored in a water and air tight virtually industructable hard plastic case.
