Price Drops on Globalstar's Fixed Site Unit Satellite Phone

April 22, 2005 Globalstar radically drops price of their FAU-200 from a suggested retail price of $999.00 to $625.00. In addition to Globalstar’s price reduction GlobalCom is currently offering an instant rebate of $30.00 reducing the price to an all time low of $595.00. This brings the price of a Globalstar Fixed Site unit below the price of Globalstar’s GSP-1600 Hand Held satellite phone.

With this new lower price GlobalCom offers the FAU-200 as a very affordable voice-only fixed solution. The FAU-200 does not have data nor fax capability. Selling the unit with an annual Liberty price plan activation makes a very attractive package for seasonal users. All the Liberty plans include a bundle of minutes that can be used anytime during the first twelve months of activation.
